Travel Journal, Page 3 of 3
By Thomas A Dillhoff, Pasco, Washington
Dinosaur remains that are found in the quarry include Stegosaurus, Allosaurus, Diplodocus, Camptosaurus and Apatosaurus, among others. The building also includes mounted specimens, interpretive displays and models that show how the dinosaurs lived and looked. There is also an active paleontology laboratory and a bookstore located in the quarry building.
Camarasaurus

When you are finished looking at the quarry, there is a ten mile self-guided driving tour that you can take along the Green River. There are several interesting rock formations to be seen, plus some short trails that lead you to some Indian petroglyphs. The drive is worth it if you have the time. Camping and hiking are available in the monument.
