Today, the quarry has been covered by a glass-walled building to protect the fossils. A short shuttle ride takes you from the parking lot to the quarry building. The entire north wall of the structure consists of a rock exposure containing hundreds of bones that are still in place. The rock has been dated at 145 million years old, which places it near the end of the Jurassic period.
