International Organization of Paleobotany meeting, Bonn Germany 8/30-9/5 2008
The meeting opened Sunday August 30 with speakers Sir Peter Crane and Nobel prize winner Jonathan Overbeck, followed by a social gathering at the University of Bonn botanical gardens. Plenary speakers over the congress included paleoentomologist Conrad Labandeira, paleobotanist Edith Taylor and population geneticist Remy Petit. Collections at the university and nearby museums were also available for participants.
